Category: A Day in the Life of an Adjunct Instructor
In response to an invitation from the WCCFT Communications Director, adjunct colleagues from departments across the campus wrote about their experiences as part-time teaching faculty at WCC. An article based on these adjunct stories appears in the November 2019 issue of FTConnect. The writers were asked to “consider sending your thoughts, however brief or lengthy, on any of the areas below:
. Your experiences teaching at WCC.
. The professional achievements or creative activities that give you the greatest satisfaction.
. Special challenges you encounter as an adjunct instructor, eg course assignments/schedules, multiple places of employment, excessive commute times, absence of benefits, etc.
. Anything else you would like other members of the WCC community to know about you as a part-time member of the faculty.
If you are an adjunct instructor and would like to add your own story to those below, please write to richardcwccft@gmail.com.
